DONATIONS
Kingston Interval House receives funding from the Ministry of Community and Social Services, United Way and private donations from community groups and individuals.
In the past year, we consistently had an occupancy rate of over 100% in our emergency shelter. This means that we must rely on fundraising and donations from the community for children's and women's programming, home safety alarm systems, shelter maintenance and household supplies.
KIH is a registered charity, and financial donations are acknowledged promptly with a receipt for tax purposes. We are greatly indebted to our community for your on-going support.

The Danielle Duchesneau Fund
Danielle Duchesneau
1971-1997
Danielle Duchesneau was a young woman killed by her ex-boyfriend in Kingston. With the support of Danielle's parents, this fund was established in Danielle's memory to financially support women who have been or are victims of violence.
Priority is given to women needing funds for safety issues or to pursue legal resources that are not available from other sources.
The Danielle Duchesneau Fund continues only through the continued financial support of community members like you. Please consider donating funds to the Danielle Duchesneau Fund.
We accept donations of new and quality used clothing for women, children and youth and small household items.
As well, these are items we are always in need of at the shelter ...
For Women: Bus tickets, slippers, nightgowns, underwear, deodorant
For Children: Pajamas, socks and underwear, diapers, baby wipes, boys clothing 8-16
For the Shelter: Corelle dishes, tea towels, hot water bottles, heating pads, toothpaste/brushes, birthday gifts for women and children (all ages), craft and quilting supplies.
